Kalisa, the brownies were thin and chewy, rather than cake-like or fudgy - kind of like a thick/chewy molasses cookie. Mildly chocolate. I think little kids would like these, as they're not strongly flavored; and they're a great kid recipe, as they're so easy to simply stir together. Give 'em a try! And thanks for your kind words. PJH
