I’ve been making pizza for many years now and started with a pizza stone in the oven but I never got around to the baking steel. I always wanted a wood fired oven so I actually went through all the fuss and built one in my backyard. I can tell you, if you entertain much and you’re in a climate where you can be outside, it’s worth every penny. Your crust comes out perfect and there’s the entertainment value for your guests. If it’s a brick oven and well insulated, you can bake the next day with just the heat retained. Thanks for the article I love trying new crusts.
