This is more of a KAF plug than a sugar cookie comment.
I'm a die-hard "use excellent ingredients" baker; thus I shop at KAF.
My wife wanted to do some 'quickie' sugar cookies last Saturday. She bought a Betty Crocker mix. I knew it wouldn't be very good, but I let her taste the batter. She had 3 comments right off the bat:
1. Wow, you can tell this mix doesn't have good flour like King Arthur.
2. The vanilla in this mix sucks - not like the vanilla you get from King Arthur.
3. This is terrible. I should have had you make them from scratch with good ingredients.
She'll never do that again! Way to go KAF!
The moral of the story - use good KAF ingredients and make from scratch. You won't be disappointed.
