My maternal grandmother used to make really big (about the size of a small saucer), really white sugar cookies that I loved. All my life, I've searched for a similar recipe. Only once have I tasted anything similar. Those were cookies baked in a brick oven by Indian bakers doing demonstrations with a brick oven in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Some of your recipes look promising to me. I shall have to try them.
