Hi there, Ree! While this recipe was developed for the microwave so we don't have recommended temperatures you'd cook the sugar to, we do have a Peanut Brittle recipe that has suggested temperatures. You would need to adjust those to accommodate the high altitude changes. Our High Altitude Baking Chart has contact information for the Colorado State University Extension Resource Center and they would be able to give recommended temperatures for cooking sugar at high altitude.
