Jay, this happens to me when the weather's too humid. Much as I miss it in summer, I only make this candy in the winter, when it's much drier outside (and inside). If you don't think it was humidity, my second guess was the candy wasn't microwaved quite long enough. Keep at it — it's worth a failure or two to nail it permanently! PJH
