I make mine using a 2 qt Pyrex glass measuring bowl with a handle. That makes it much easier to dump the mixture out without having to hold a pot holder on the rim of a plain bowl. Also, I mix the sugar, syrup and nuts all together and microwave until the caramel color is achieved, add the butter and vanilla, cook 1 more minute, then remove and add the soda. It works great. The best brittle ever, and so easy!
