I'm a baker with a nut allergy too! I often use pepitas (pumpkin seeds) in place of peanuts in many baking recipes, and this is no exception. Sunflower seeds might be a bit too hard in this brittle, but if you are looking for more crunch feel free to give it at try. I'd recommend using 1 1/2 cup of pepitas, toasted and salted as a first try. Enjoy! Kye@KAF
