I have used this recipe since 1967 when I got my first microwave, an Amana RadarRange. At that time you were supposed to go to classes to learn to cook with a microwave. Our instructor gave out this peanut brittle recipe and I have used it ever since. Wattage has changed a lot since then. My latest microwave has 1300 power. Needless to say I have to cut the cooking time WAY back. I now have to do it on power 6 for 4 minutes then 1 minute at each additional ingredient and stirring. It comes out great and is still the best peanut brittle recipe ever. I prefer to butter the cookie sheet rather than the parchment or silpat.
