in our area, a lot of churches make this for fun raisers. They pour it into aluminum pie plates. This makes it a nice round shape. Usually 2 pie plates of candy were sold together. It made it prettier. Years ago we buttered our hands and poured it out on a hard surface aluminum table and took a fork and stretched it out and pulled it out with our fingers. It was made like that for years. The pie plate method won by a landslide.
