These breads look wonderful, and look forward to trying them. Christmas in our house meant sweet breads and homemade sausage. My parents were of Hungarian descent, so at Christmas Mom would start the sweet bread dough, and Dad would get the grinder out to grind the pork meat for sausage. Mom would make a past of ground poppy seeds, and another of ground walnuts and she would roll out the sweet dough for breads with these fillings, and then she would roll out the small amounts of the dough and cut it into triangles, and we kids could fill the triangles with the fillings and roll them into crescent shaped little breads. There was always one piece of dough left for cinnamon buns...lovely memories.
