You don't need to cook the filling for very long, Pie Baker. Author PJ Hamel instructs you to "Stir, then cook over low heat for about a minute – basically just to make sure everything is well combined." The filling will thicken when the final pie is baked in the oven. Enjoy! Kye@KAF
