I took a look at the post detailing the method for making a whole pie and freezing it, but the apples were not cooked in the instructions. Can I cook the make ahead pie filling on the stove top, assemble the pie, and then freeze? My instincts say no, but as I have the most time to be in the kitchen than I ever will in the next few weeks, I thought I would ask.
