I’m a big fan of make ahead recipes but, I have to admit, it never occured to me to make my apple pie filling beforehand. My favorite pie crust (the recipe is on my blog if anyone is interested) is a cinch to make ahead. Now I’m going to do the same with the filling. Thanks for the tip.
