Have rarely baked pie and always with a store bought crust but tried this recipe and it was easy! I made two of the single crusts for "derby" (walnut/chocolate chip) pies - one with butter and one with vegetable oil. We liked both well enough to repeat. The only hard part was getting the dough even on the top edge of the pan rim. Solved the problem by trimming that part off then using my fingers to round the top of the remaining crust.
