You can successfully mail pizzelles without breakage. I mail them to my family in other states every Christmas. I put them in cookie tins with a cut circle of wax paper between each pizzelle. Then I fill the gap at the top with more wax paper. I use packing peanuts or bubble wrap to put around the tins in the mailing box. My family reports that the pizzelles make it to their mouths in one piece!
