1. We wrap our Christmas cookies individually in plastic wrap--time consuming but worth it to keep the cookies intact and padded. Local places with many hands in the "cookie jar" like Mom's nursing home and the studio where we take dance lessons really appreciate it as well. 2. Be careful what you pack with the goodies. When my brother and his family were in Africa, they got a goodie package that included food items and bar soap. You guessed it, all the food tasted like soap--very disappointing when you're far from home!
