Thanks for the packing tips but here are 2 packing tips that focus on the actual cookies themselves BEFORE they are placed in a bag or container so as not to limit which kind/size of cookie being shipped. My mother used to send me chocolate chippers at college in a lot of air-popped, unsalted popcorn, taking care that there was sufficient popcorn between the cookies or she'd wrap each cookie individually in waxed paper (tedious but reliable). Both methods provide "shock absorbers" between the cookies.
