You are more than welcome to try making this recipe in a standard-sized or mini muffin pan. The texture will still be cake-like and the flavor will be delicious; you may consider renaming them doughamuffs... :) The baking time will likely need to be extended by about 3-5 minutes to be sure they have baked all the way through in the centers.
