I just baked six tonight. They're divine! I'm wondering if I can refrigerate the rest of the dough for a day or two, bring it to room temperature, and then bake the rest. Do you think that will work? Two people don't need a dozen donuts all at once... :) Yes, I do think that'll work, Sallie - not absolutely sure because I haven't tried it but it sounds reasonable. I wouldn't go longer than 2 days - Scoop the batter into the pan, then let rest while you preheat your oven; it'll warm to room temperature more quickly in the pan than in the bowl. Doesn't have to be at room temperature to bake, if you don't want to wait; just add more baking time to make up for a cooler batter. Good luck -let us know how it works, OK?
