Yes, I use Crisco. As I said in the narrative, I have tried without success to do an all-butter version of these. One thing I haven't tried that might be worth pursuing is coconut oil, although I'm not sure what it would do to the flavor. If you give it a go, let me know how it comes out, will you? Thanks.
