Hi Susan, we're sorry to hear this recipe didn't work well for you! It also has its devoted followers, so I wouldn't say it's not ready for prime time, but the process is quite a bit different than Mom's Caramels, and if they method and recipe works best for you, then by all means stick with it! I might be a bit biased, but I love that recipe too!
