SO disappointed! I’ve made King Arthur’s “Mom’s Caramels” at least a dozen times and they are consistently great. This was my first (and definitely only) attempt at the cider caramels. Taste was very good but what an incredibly sticky mess. The parchment stuck to the slab and it was a real chore to get it peeled off to salvage some of the candy. Again, I’m a skilled baker and my candy skills aren't too shabby either. Followed instructions and recipe to a t, weighed everything, etc. but it was a definite fail. I’m thinking this recipe is not ready for prime time.
