What did I do wrong? I bought the caramel-making kit from KAF and I am a huge devoted KAF fan with a ton of baking/confectionary experience, so I felt like I was good to go. I thought I followed the recipe to a T, but when my caramels turned out they immediately became super hard, and after the overnight curing period they were so incredibly hard that I couldn't even cut them. They came out like caramel shards! Where did I go wrong? Help, please, because they smell divine!
