Agave syrup (it is NOT "nectar") is much higher in fructose content (75-90%) than HFCS (typically 55%) and has been shown, according to a host of respected, peer-reviewed nutritional and scientific studies, to be worse for humans than High Fructose Corn Syrup. Agave syrup is highly-processed and made with the exact same process as HFCS. It is processed by and affects our systems exactky the way HFCS does. There is nothing healthy or natural about agave syrup. As a matter of fact, most sugar substitutes, including "natural" powdered or liquid sweeteners are, in fact, more highly processed and therefore, arguably less "healthy" than claimed.
