Here's my recipe for applesauce using a slow cooker: Six pounds of apples (discovered Empire apples last week, and they make amazing applesauce) quartered with peels left on. If you have a food mill, it is soooo easy to make. I add 1 cup of apple cider (not boiled apple cider), turn the slow cooker on high for 1 hour, then turn it down to low and cook another 2-3 hours. No need to add sugar.
