Hi Linda, I think you're spot on about the quinoa being the culprit. When I cooked up my 1 cup of quinoa in 2 cups of water, after 15 minutes it had absorbed pretty much all of the liquid. By the time I had gotten to throwing it in the recipe, it had cooled to room temperature and was fairly dry like rice. I'm very sorry that you went through the process and it didn't give you a perfect bar! Give it a try again. If your cooked, dry quinoa still yields an ultra wet dough, try throwing in an extra handful of oats. It should absorb excess water and get you to where it should be. Let me know how it turns out! These bars are meant to be experimented on. The recipe is only a base to fall back on. Happy baking! -Gwen
