I see you're a top crimper, and prefer to have your extra crust on top, so it makes sense you like to have a larger top crust. For bottom folders or crimpers like PJ using a larger bottom crust folded over the top crust edge and sealed is just a different method. For those who are "yet undecided" as the saying goes, it's wonderful that you've shared the math for your method, too, that was very generous. Thanks!
