That's a big difference - but makes sense mathematically. I always thought it a great idea to have all the leftover from the top (although it would work for the bottom, too) because it gets sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and baked briefly as a treat for the baker! I don't mind skimping on the crust for the pie - everyone here is so happy to see a pie that appearance appreciation is very brief . . . But, I do appreciate all the thought and effort you all put into keeping us informed - love the blogs!
