My favorite crust recipe so far uses an egg yolk, lemon juice, and milk combined, then added into the dry ingredients. Makes a nice, flaky crust. However, I'm still trying new crust recipes - I'll have to try the combination version.
And FWIW, Jiffy pie crust is made with lard rather than vegetable shortening. Of the boxed mixes I've tried, that's the best.
