I have a relative with such a severe case of celiac disease it causes neurological problems. Her grandmother has to almost keep a separate set of kitchen tools to cook for the girl--separate cutting boards, no wooden spoons, special brands--all sorts of precautions to avoid cross-contamination. If someone you know is that sensitive, he or she wouldn't dare eat from someone else's kitchen. :(
