We loved your article and pie recipe. The only difference we have, is we use lard, instead of Crisco. My Mom died at 92 and my wife's grandma died at 94, never saw a doctor, but both used nothing but lard. I don't know why people are so afraid to use it. Lard make the most flaky crust. I bought Crisco just to try it out on your recipe.
