I turned 50 this year and your article has inspired me to bake again. I loved your article - so true about how we see our mothers creep into ourselves. Apple Pies were my fathers favorite and I used to bake them for him all the time. You have inspired me to blow the dust from my pie dish and follow some of your "delicious" advice.
