Hi Valerie, if your oven was warm and/or your biscuits weren't sufficiently covered, they could have formed a crust that would inhibit their proofing. We suggest using plastic wrap or a plastic cover to prevent the biscuits from drying out and not using a warm oven because the oven can get too warm for proper proofing.
