I made these yeast biscuits tonight & the dough rose great @1st. Then I punched it, rolled it & cut out the biscuits to rise again in greased pans. They hardly rose, even after being in warmed oven. 1st time I made them they were perfect. Could they not have risen due to 1. King Arthur Unbleached all purpose all wheat flour( used regular Gold Medal or Pillsbury or something last time, 2. Did the heated oven dry out the dough too much? It was covered with towel just like last time. I did not use plastic wrap either time. Used 3/4 C. Sugar to about 6.5 C flour, as recipe calls for. I used 1/2 C. sugar last time cuz I forgot the other 1/4 C. Any thoughts? I was so disappointed since the very 1st time I made them they were perfect.
