So sorry to hear about your poor doughnuts! Julie, is it possible that you used an Rapid Rise yeast packet? If so, that could be the problem. Rapid Rise yeast is designed for one quick rise, and on a hot humid day it may have spent itself very early on in the process. SAF instant or an active dry yeast would be a better choice for your next try. Susan
