Thanks for all the great tips! I'm new to baking and I've had a terrible time with some things not rising. I made what should have been a delicious loaf of cinnamon swirl bread yesterday, that never didi rise properly. It didn't help that our 4m old lab was eating bees in the back yard and we had to leave said cinnamon bread for 2 1/2hrs (during the last rise) while we raced to the vet for a Benadryl shot. By the time I got back I just want that bread in the oven and didn't pay to much attention to the fact that it didn't rise. So needless to say, my cinnamon bread was a terrible disappointment :( That all being said, I was really happy to find your site! And I'm going to try that cinnamon swirl bread agin today. I'll let you know how it turns out, wish me luck!! ....... And the puppy is not aloud out of my sight until it's done ;)
