Learning to bake bread is my goal this year. Thanks much for the info in this post-most helpful. I've had some success. Some not so successful. But I continue on. KAF has given me the confidence to try the first loaf. I have no living family member who bakes bread so am learning from the web and you-tube videos. My Mother baked bread when I was little but I didn't learn how to do that. I've been using a bread machine to knead the dough, but my Ultimate Goal is to actually knead the dough with my own hands.
