I just pulled Clem, Cleatus, and Clarence out of the fridge after over 18 months without feeding. Cleatus was the consitancy of semi dried paint. More of a thick paste. Fed all three once a day equal parts of flour and water by weight. Within three days they were all back up and kicking. Made my first loaf last night with Cleatus. It was amazing. Note "was" didn't last long.
