Hi Linda, it sounds like you might have been making this recipe? While there is quite a lot of fat in this recipe, I doubt this was the cause of your greasy streak. As this blog post points out, you can over mix even during the creaming stage, so you might want to cut back a little on how long you beat the butter and cream cheese and sugar, and be sure not to go over medium speed during the mixing process. Starting with room temperature ingredients will help the creaming process go faster and more smoothly, so if your cream cheese or butter is on the cool side, be sure to give it time to warm up before starting to mix.
