Hi Tosin! We're thinking a different recipe will help. There's nothing acidic in the recipe to work with the baking soda to give you any sort of rise. It's also a very small amount of baking soda even if you did have acid in it. Give this light and fluffy Chiffon Cake recipe a go! Annabelle@KAF
