I can't remember where, when or how I was given it but one tip I 'acquired' was to always very lightly brush a par-baked pizza base with a good quality, robust Olive Oil just before adding the toppings. The reasoning being that 1, it helps to improve the flavor and 2, helps stop any sauce from making the base soggy. I'm honestly not sure if it does either of these things but it is just one of those things I still do every time whether I am baking immediately or freezing for later. Maybe you and yours could put it to the test one day ;)
