We didn't care for this recipe, and we're both lemon lovers. The cake was gummy and the frosting had a funny lemon flavor. I used all fresh ingredients, other than using meringue powder instead of egg whites. I don't know much about meringue powder but I shouldn't think it would add a funny taste if you're recommending its use. Anyway, if you have any thoughts on what went wrong I'd love to hear them. I'm usually quite pleased and have good luck with KA recipes. Thanks for all you do.
