MaryJane, I'm an English teacher. I work in a college that trains people to be English teachers, so I've got to get things absolutely correct or there goes my credibility with my eagle-eyed students. MY typos always show up when I'm looking over the second side of photocopy number 45 out of a batch of 50. By the time I've said, 'Oh, crumbs!' copy number 50 is rolling out of the machine. Of course, teachers always have a clever solution for such situations. I pass out the copies and say, 'Now, there's at least one mistake hidden on this copy. Bonus points for the person who spots it.' It works even better than the old, 'Why don't you go home and look that up and write me a report about it?' when you don't know the answer to a question. :-)
