I wrote on 3/30/14 asking about adding water to my bread doughs and you, MaryJane Robbins answered back that I could add up to 1/4c of water. (see above) I've been making the Rustic Sourdough Bread for the past couple of months. The recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of water for 5 cups of flour. Each week when I make a batch I'd add more water and I've worked my way up to 3 cups of water for the recipe. 2 3/4 C wasn't even enough!!!! 3 did it!!!!! I now get the bubbly wet dough shown in the photos and the best crumb ever!!! Only "problem" now being is I share the batch with my husband and he stuffs his bread. He thinks the dough is now too wet for his use. Too bad....
