Hi there, Kim! That is a polycarbonate chocolate mold that is pictured at the beginning of this blog article. They're used for making filled chocolates. It sounds like the frozen bananas are causing the chocolate to seize. We'd suggest letting the banana warm a little bit so the temperature difference isn't so drastic. We hope this helps!
