Hi Nancy, we're sorry to hear this recipe didn't work well for you! This is meant to be a fairly soft dough, but you might try using the lower amount of water next time you try this recipe and see if this yields a dough that is easier to manage. 2 minutes on the lowest speed on your Kitchenaid to blend the ingredients, followed by 3 minutes on speed 2 to knead the dough, should provide enough dough development for this recipe.
