Thank you for your question! Amounts of cadmium and lead in our cocoas and chocolates are reported to us as “trace” by our vendors who provide them. This is normal practice that takes place when levels of a substance are either below federal safety limits or undetectable. All the cocoas and chocolates we use are tested by the vendor and are rated “no significant risk” for heavy metal contamination. They also comply with current FDA regulations.  The quality of our products is of absolute importance to our team, and we appreciate knowing that our commitment makes a difference to our customers.
