Is it dense throughout, or just towards the bottom of the loaf? It might be that that dough is over-proofing slightly on the second rise, we'd suggest shortening the rise and seeing if that helps to make for a loaf that isn't dense. Another reason a loaf might turn out dense is if a tad too much flour snuck its way into the mixing bowl — we recommend either using a kitchen scale to weigh your ingredients or using the fluff and sprinkle technique for measuring flour in volume.
