We think it's a fantastic idea to use your apple pie filling in this recipe, Sandy! You may need to extend the baking time slightly and you can probably add slightly less milk since the apples will add moisture. Bake the French Toast until the center looks set and when you stick a sharp knife in the center, no liquid pools in its place. You could also try using your apple pie filling in a braided/filled bread, like one of these recipes. Butterscotch Apple Rolls might also be a perfect opportunity to put your filling to good use.
